Sustainability Bingo Challenge
October 10, 2022
In its ongoing efforts to nurture a culture of sustainability at the SgIC, the SgIC Sustainability team recently concluded its first ever #Sustainability Bingo Challenge. Over the last few weeks, a total of 21 teams participated enthusiastically to complete a series of sustainability-related activities which were selected to challenge #TheFutureMakers to adopt green practices, educate themselves on sustainability trends and insights, and explore hidden parts of our garden city.
The difficulty of these activities ranged from the simple tasks like bringing your own box for takeaways to achieving 10,000 steps for 15 days or more. We were very impressed and inspired by the efforts from all the 192 submissions received.
However small these actions may seem, they can actually make an impact. And indeed, several teams saw reductions in their household utility bills during the duration of the challenge, suggesting that being aware of one’s personal consumption is often the very first step that you need to take.
Kudos to Dillon Chew, Jie Xin T. and Hector Esquinca for leading this effort! We thank everyone who participated, and we hope that this activity will help to inspire positive change in our everyday habits.
