The scientists at the SgIC work in dedicated teams, innovating for a wide variety of brands, from Pantene to Olay and Ambi Pur, to name just a few.

Solving the challenges inherent to making superior consumer product experiences requires focus, so it's easy to get siloed.   Our annual BridgitalX event is an opportunity to connect and inspire each other with the work we do as an end-to-end innovation center.

The day began with a retrospective session led by Yuko Nakamura, who talked about how our #thefuturemakers identity was conceived, and the bold genesis of the BridgitalX event over the Covid period. This was followed by a session from Mark Smerznak, who shared a sweeping overview of how the SgIC has been leveraging digital capabilities to drive our integrated growth strategy.

The keynote speaker, Lucas Lee of Changi Airport Group shared how their use of robotics and IoT has enabled them to create a world-leading airport experience in Singapore, and their ongoing plans to futureproof.

After a panel discussion to "Unlock the Future" featuring Andrew WeatherstonElizabeth DesmondLisa Hood and Olga Lahuerta, SgIC Scientists were invited to present their work in a series of 6-minute digital-focused case studies that wowed the audience. Tea featured vendor booths and poster sessions.

The day drew to a close with a reflection of key insights and actions, kicked off by the senior R&D leaders. Then awards, and of course, a networking cocktail event.

Congratulations to the organizing team of Antony KarukapallyAbraham MettaAdeline Chan and Sirilak Wannaborworn for an exceptional program!
